Giving Back to the Community

Georgia Grinders believes that it is important to give back to the local community and supports 3 very different organizations, each of whom benefit causes of great importance to our community, family & friends.

Jaime's mother was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) in 2011 and her symptoms rapidly progressed, robbing her of her independence and ability to live her life as she envisioned. Unfortunately she passed in April 2017, though her story has greatly impacted Jaime's life, opening her eyes to just how fragile and short life is.  Watching the quality of her mother's life rapidly decline acted as a catalyst for Jaime to leave Corporate America and follow her dreams of launching her own business.
Jaime loves to say, "There is no guarantee that the sun will shine tomorrow and life is way too short to live complacently!  I refuse to use the words 'What If' to express regrets and view my Mother as a symbol of HOPE!".

The Night of Hope Gala is the premier event is the Southeast to raise funds for ALS research at Emory University, while providing HOPE and resources to family and friends affected by ALS.  Over the past 15 years, the Night of Hope Gala has raised over $9.5 million dollars to fund critical research for ALS.
Passionate about food, people and the memories created over a delicious meal, Georgia Grinders is grateful for all of those hardworking individuals in the restaurant/food industry who facilitate these experiences!  The Giving Kitchen (TGK)  is an Atlanta based food service community is meeting crisis with compassion and care.  Their mission is to provide emergency assistance to food service workers through financial support and a network of community resources.  Learn more about what they do!

Georgia Grinders is proud to partner with DeKalb County School System’s Special Education Department!  It can be hard finding work out of high school, harder yet for kids with special needs. That's why the Dekalb school system is partnering with local businesses, like Georgia Grinders, to give these students on the job, real world training, the opportunity to experience instruction in natural environments.
Each year, we look forward to seeing them grow and    develop into outstanding employees exhibiting a high    level of care and work ethic. In return, the lessons that they ultimately teach us are truly invaluable! The students are amazing, hard-working and inspirational young adults.
